What is the Biofeeedback and Behavioral Health Practitioners Guild (BBHPG)?
The BBHPG is a newly formed professional guild that is an affiliate of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), local 153, AFL-CIO.
The purpose of the guild is to promote the profession of biofeedback and behavioral health, to assist with legislative issues, and to assist regional, state and national biofeedback and behavioral health organizations to grow into larger and more effective entities. The BBHPG is affiliated with the National Guild of Medical Professionals, a 20,000-member organization, as well as with the OPEIU, the parent organization of both guilds, and the AFL-CIO with its 13,000,000 members nationwide.

What is the OPEIU?
The OPEIU is the only exclusively chartered "white collar" union within the AFL-CIO. Among the groups it currently represents are Chiropractors, Podiatrists, Clinical Social Workers, and Nurses.

Does this mean you want me to join a union?
No. The affiliation agreement between the OPEIU and state, regional, and national biofeedback organizations retains the autonomy of each organization and the members of that organization. This is an affiliation with the union, not union membership.

Is the Biofeedback and Behavioral Health Practitioners Guild (BBHPG) Competing with the State, Regional or National Biofeedback Organizations?
NO! Individual members cannot join the BBHPG. Membership is available ONLY Through a state, regional, or national biofeedback organization. THE GOAL OF THE GUILD IS TO ADD TO THE VALUE OF ALL BIOFEEDBACK ORGANIZATIONS.

What is the Cost?
